休·洛夫廷

休·洛夫廷，English children's author and creator of Doctor Doolittle. He was educated at Mount St. Mary's College in Sheffield and received initial training as a civil engineer. He saw action with the Irish Guards in World War I, conceiving his famous character while in the trenches.
