Josephine Zoumanigui，Marie Josephine Zoumanigui, is originally from the West Coast of Africa in Conakry, Guinea. Her time was spent enjoying watching Bollywood movies on television, despite the language barrier and imitating her favorite African singers.At the tender age of 8, Marie and her family relocated to New York in 1997.
